Areas of Application
Sikaflex ® – 221 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates and is suitable for making permanent elastic seals of high adhesive strength. Suitable substrate materials are metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-C systems), ceramic materials and plastics.

Sikaflex-529 AT is a sprayable 1-component PUR-Hybrid sealant based on the Sika Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) technology. Sikaflex-529 AT is uséd for seam sealing of factory-provided original structures (surface areas and beads) for vehicle body assemblies that cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity to form a durable elastomer.
USE

Sikaflex-529 AT adheres well to all the materials commonly uséd in body shops e.g. metal primers and paint coatings, metals, painted plastics and plastics.

Sikaflex®-255 Ultra is a cold applied windscreen adhesive, optimized for manual application. It provides a long open time and ensures safe application even under warm conditions. Sikaflex®-255 Ultra is compatible with Sika's Black Primerless and All Black processes and may also be used as a primerless to glass adhesive in auto glass replacement applications. Note: Primerless to glass application requires the glass to be prepared using an Automotive grade glass cleaner such as Sika® Cleaner G+P. The bonding surfaces must be free of contamination and have sufficient UV protection.

Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants. The bond faces must be treated according Sika's Black-Primerless or All Black installation process. Further information on the application and use of Pre-treatments, can be found in the corresponding Product Data Sheet. Windshields without ceramic coatings need proper UV protection.

Sika® Primer-207
Pigmented, solvent-based Primer for various substrates
Sika® Primer-207 is a solvent-based black primer, which reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Sika® Primer-207 is specifically formulated for the treatment of bond faces prior to application of Sika’s 1-component Polyurethanes. This primer might provide excellent adhesion without previous activation step on many substrates. Sika® Primer-207 fluoresces under long-wave UV light for a limited period of time. This feature is used for in-process control.

Areas of Application
Sika® Primer-207 is used to improve adhesion on a very broad range of different substrates such as float glass, ceramic-coated glass, plastics, pre-coatings, painted surfaces, E-coats and metals. Seek manufacturer’s advice and perform tests on original substrates before using Sika® Primer-207 on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants. Adhesion on substrates may be improved by adding and/or combining pre-treatment processes such as scuffing, cleaning and activating.
